"Inspiration comes from many places...some unexpected...the sound of rain, a moonlit sky, kids playing or an overheard conversation. You never know when or where it will hit you, but a truly inspired moment can lead to the outpouring of creative energy. That's what lead to the writing of my latest album: "Perfection's Never Clear".
Sometimes the inspiration remains dormant in your subconscious for a while before the creative gates open up. And so it was with my new album. Sights and sounds, seemingly long forgotten, flooded my mind as I was writing the music. The lyrics started flowing and each song represented an inspired moment that I had tucked away somewhere long ago.
This album is inspired by several such moments and sometimes, painful memories of myself or of someone else, who experienced the emotions of love...and of love lost.
I'm dedicating "Perfection's Never Clear" to anyone who has ever loved or ever had a broken heart from a love gone wrong.
The perfect day, the perfect life or the perfect love...are never clear."

right now it's just me with a back-up band (sometimes)...I have different musicians in the studio and on stage...this latest CD (Perfection's Never Clear) is just me playing and recording all parts...Have you performed in front of an audience?I've been playing live for a VERY long time! sometimes with a band, but usually as a solo artist...I love playing to a live audience and feeling their energy and emotion...I've had many "special moments", but just being in front of fans is as special as it gets...
Your musical influences
I'm not sure if I have any real influences...I love music from many genres and many time periods...from classical to Celtic, from big band to early rock to 50's-80's rock, from acoustic folk to "modern rock" and everything in between...it's definitely hard to pick a certain band or style when my tastes are eclectic and run the gamut of musical style...What equipment do you use?
without naming brands, I have a variety of acoustic and electric guitars, a couple of bass guitars, digital pianos and an acoustic piano, an assortment of drums and percussion instruments and some oddball pieces that I use for certain effects...Anything else?
this is where I guess I should self-promote, but all I want to say here is that I'm an artist (sometimes I feel it wasn't by choice) and I would like as many people as possible to hear and feel my music and the emotions within each song...if I can reach you on that level, that makes being a songwriter and musician worth all the years of hard work I've put into it...Contact
