Greg Williams
Basically I'm Greg Williams, I write my own songs, sing and perform them myself. I used to have the added bonus of having a drummer, so if you are listening to a track with drums it's an older track! But at the moment it's just me sadly. Confined to my acoustic guitar these days my songs are probably more mellow than I would like, but they do the trick hopefully anyway!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Nothing much to say aside from that it's just me writing my songs, trying to find a band to play with, but it can be a struggle sometimes!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Well I'm at University in Leeds at the moment. I've done a few gigs around Leeds, hopefully be doing some more soon enough. Years ago with my old old band from school in Manchester we played the South Manchester Show in 2001 and we played before the Bay City Rollers! That was class, we had to sign autographs!
Your musical influences
I am very into my Indie music, I don't really know which bands directly influence my music though, i used to think Gomez and Embrace influenced it a great deal, but probably less so now. I think it's more my being consigned to an acoustic which influences me-i would like to write on my electric but without drums it just doesn't sound as good
What equipment do you use?
Well i play guitar and piano, I record all my songs on my digital 16 track
