Greg Shields
Music is Medicine
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I love writing music, it is my outlet. I love Jesus and what He has done in my life is incredible. Ive been a musician and songwriter for most of my life. Im writing constantly, whether its in my head or in my home studio, I always have a tune or a beat in my head. I record a lot of these odds and ends, some of them turn into songs, some of them just go in the trash. Im currently pitching songs in the contemporary christian, pop, and country markets in Nashville, TN.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
From North Carolina, looking to make a part time career out of songwriting.
Your musical influences
I love guitar driven music. I grew up playing punk rock and metal but in my adult years have begun writing in all different genres. Contemporary Christian, Rock, Pop, Film/TV, and even a little country from time to time.
