Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Greg Magirescu (pronounced Magic-Rescue with a silent “c” in Magic) is more than an entertainer with a ministry. His desire is to empower Christians of every denomination, culture, and nationality to put their faith into action, as JAMES 2:14-16 suggests. Greg’s unique and inspiring music aims to be “food for the journey”, offering encouragement and hope. His songs are also a challenge, compelling listeners to reflect on their individual walk with Jesus. All of this is presented in a positive and fun manner through Greg’s powerful story-telling skills and engaging communication with his audiences. One thing is for sure people will not go home the same after one of Greg’s concerts. A commonly heard statement following one of Greg’s presentations is “he’s sure given me a lot to think about”.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play about 120 - 200 dates a year around the world, which I've been doing for the past 10 years. And, yes, I still love it... I've had several special moments including singing for Pope John Paul II in front of over 800,000 people at World Youth Day 2002 in Toronto; writing for Gladys Knight & The Pips in the late 70's; singing in prisons in New Zealand, Kenya, Uganda and South Africa... there are too many to mention.
Your musical influences
I grew up in the 60's & 70's so it would be The Beatles, Jackson Five, The Carpenters (wow, love those smooth layered harmonies!), disco (yikes.. how embarassing), classical (Mozart, Vivaldi, Scriabin, Clemente, etc.)... basically I have an "everything AND the kitchen sink" background in music... and my songwriting reflects that.
