Green Diesel
We are an internationally acclaimed rhythm and blues quartet from Faversham, Kent. We play mostly original songs with the odd vintage cover thrown in for spice.
Band/artist history
Formed originally as a duo in 2000ish comprising of Louie and Greg before becoming a trio with Colin and finally a quartet with Ben in late 2002.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play where we can, pubs, festivals, parties and private functions. Of course we greatly enjoy playing and regularly make a conscious effort to provide 'a show' as well as pure musical entertainment. No particularly special moments live, just a few drunken interferences! There was also the time we played with a brass section for parts of the show which was an experience.
Your musical influences
We're all obviously big on blues, specifically Fleetwood Mac, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and various others. Paul Weller is another favourite as is Oasis, REM, The Band, Neil Young and other such acts.
Anything else?
Louie Alexander-vocals/piano/harmonica
Greg-Guitars/mandolin/keyboards/backing vocals
Ben-Bass/Guitars
Colin-Drums/Percussion
Hi again,
I´ve forgot to say thanks for your comments. What is the green diesel theory ??
Hi,
"Peacemakers dream" : you apply your instruments with great effect. Singing voice and guitars produce a little bit of "dark" atmosphere. Very nice idea to play the blues. You have to continiue your style - we like it very much !!
Greetings from ORPLID

The green diesel theory is a non-existent concept album idea concocted by our ever enthusiastic frontman Louie. We grew to love the phrase and find ourselves using it frequently these days.
