Grande Castro are a Newcastle (uk) based four piece.
Their Music is a compelling blend of Rock & Roll, Blues, Funk and Indie.
The Bands individual tastes create an interesting blend of influences including Hendrix, Led Zep, Primal Scream, Dylan, Pearl jam ad infinitum
The only things Grande Castro are interested in are:
Making good music popular again.
Making guitar music cool again.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Playing a blend of funky blues and honest to goodness 'rock and roll',
Grande Castro have a brief but bloody history.
Formed mid 2003, they shed their original Lead singer to bring onboard Geoff Kirkwood on his return from Australia in March 04.
Since then, a bassist has also fallen by the wayside, with Anth moving from rythm guitar to bass and the band getting the more raw sound they were looking for.
With JoJo and Geoff providing the music and lyrics respectively & Anth and Martyn (Beezerk) underpinning it with groove and rythm, the band view themselves as the antidote to the sacharine sweet, lily livered offerings that currently pass as new music.
Grande Castro is Rock and Roll.
