This is the first of 4 mvmts to Wilson's masterwork. The whole work depicts the mind's phases of Thinking, Feeling, Remembering, and Being and the emotions felt in each of them. It features a soprano sax throughout.

the 2nd mvmt has more of a slow, mellow tone to it in the beginning, then the mind begins to have quick flashbacks of days long past in a swingin bar.

All four mvmts of Piece of Mind are being considered for REL's Spring UIL Contest program. This is one of the hardest mvmts because of the immense amount of percussion and rhythm work. It is also the longest.
