Goodbye August
Goodbye August is a southern rock/hardcore band that originated in a small town in Virginia. It was just a few kids trying to make something happen. Although their personalities were different, they all had two very important things in common. They shared a love for God and a love for music. The first few months they worked on creating a unique sound that would stand out in the local music scene. Then they played their first show in November 2005. That's when they realized that they wanted to do this for a living. They played every show they could get throughout 2006 and built up a nice fan base in their area. After being in the local newspaper more than once, selling hundreds of band shirts, and coming out with their first EP, they are ready to make something of themselves outside of their comfort zone. They are younger than most bands (15-19) but they have enough energy to make up for it. They plan to tour the entire month of July, 2007. Going as far north as New York and as far south as Florida.
