whats good guyz! I'm a MC and beatboxer from the east coast of canada. Everybody call me GonZo...from my people in new brunswick 2 my boyz up here in ottawa. I'm a french rapper but I try to improve my skills 2 the fullest in both french and english..as well as beatbox. I'm all about lyrical style, wordplays, flows, crazy rhyme patterns....in other words, i don't give a **** about gangsta rap...there's 2 much out there...it's all the same. I say real lyricists should be runnin the business
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started chillin out and beatboxing with some of my friends who rap and from then i wrote my first 16...after that i've been writin down every line that cross my mind and spent nights rhymin with my boyz back in New-Brunswick. I've been rappin for 2 years now, to this day, I participated in about 10 shows and 1 mixtape...we're workin right now on another one and an album which i'll be featured on.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
yeah...i did a bunpch of shows down in New Brunswick with some of QC's finest artists....such as Ale Dee, Sans Pression (13th Deep), Mauvaize Frékentation (Sir Pathétik & Billy Nova), Vice Verset...this summer we're setting up something big with Realcity's first and leading MC..Imposs!
Your musical influences
hip hop legends have always been omnipresent on my ipod haha! guyz like Mos Def, M.O.P, Busta rhymes, Kool G Rap, Biggie, 2pac, Rakim, Wu Tang and much much more...for the french part I gotta say it's all about Booba and Salif
What equipment do you use?
Mic and compressor, purchased beats over internet or connex, and we do the mixing part with cool edit pro...pretty much the easy way for now...everytime we get paid we try to put some cash on da side for new equipment!
