Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started out in 92 writing verses to instrumentals on cassette and 12" singles, and eventually hooked up with some kats from school to form a group. After forming the Warheadz in 98, we began doing shows and recording tracks. My cousin Merc(Versus), was the first to begin sampling and sequencing tracks after we hooked up with Spi, who showed us the science on the famous Ensoniq EPS. It was'nt long before phenom and I picked up on it.After gaining fans on a regional scale with the Warheadz, I started working with DJ Definition(Tampa, FL), who was in a 4-Man DJ crew called the Waxx Mechanixxx. We formed a group called High Society and released an album in 2003.In 2004 I hooked up with DNA, and formed the Otherz. We connected with local MCs, Mel-Cap, Unjus, DA, Relik, Crosstown Slim and Mel-One(Science Born). Over the last two years we constructed "The Other Studio" where we lay our music down. Now we have founded 765 Records and are setting the stage for the years to come.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Doc's Music Hall in Downtown Muncie is where I rock the mic the most. But we are hitting every spot within reach this year.
Your musical influences
My main musical influences are The RZA, Dr. Dre, Dj Premier, Rick Rubin, Just Blaze, Kanye West and Mannie Fresh on the hip hop front. I am getting more into kats like 9th Wonder, MF Doom, and the late J-Dilla.The musical influence comes from Rick James, Curtis Mayfield, Bob James, and Quincy Jones.
