Going Nowhere (CAN)
Drawing their influence from bands such as Rage Against The Machine, Fugazi and NoMeansNo, Going Nowhere promote a style representitive of everything from hip-hop to punk-rock. A polemical musical mishmash which makes for a fiercely intense and daring live show. A reality bolstered by the fact that Going Nowhere plays without a guitarist, leaving the three members responsible for filling the gaps left behind by its absence.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We formed originally in 1993, moved on in '99 and then reformed earlier this year (2004) because it was the right thing to do. Its the only thing in our lives that has ever felt close to natural.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Anytime, anywhere and for anyone.
Your musical influences
Anything that feeds our minds and hasn't been shit out by the next day... More specifically, Rage Against The Machine, Fugazi, NoMeansNo, Primus, Pink Floyd, Hieroglyphics, Mos Def... Too many.
What equipment do you use?
Just bass, drums and vocals.
