Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Rachel- I'm 17, almost 18. I'm going to go to San Jose State. I'll be majoring in Advertising, but singing is my love and hopefully that will be my career. I've been singing since I was 7 and Ive always juggled music and art my whole life. I love mellow introspective music that touches you whenever something dramatic or important is happening in your life. But even more I love singing when something dramatic or important is happening. Its my therapy.
Wyman- Well it goes like this, I am 15 turning 16 pretty soon. I have been playing guitar for almost 9 years. I attended an arts school in North Carolina (North Carolina School of the Arts) but now I am in California trying to make it happen with music. I cant live without guitar I am really into jazz, funk, fusion, some rock, and some alternative.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We currently are playing live. We have shows booked all over the bay area. The first show we had was a little tense, but for the most part everyone enjoys playing. One special moment was our first gig. It was a big accomplishment and we were all really proud of everyone.
Your musical influences
Rachel- I usually sing along to Fiona Apple, Ella Fitzgerald, Eva Cassidy, Etta James, Zero Seven and Fleetwood Mac.
Wyman- I would definitely have to say I am into a mellow or progressive style some of the bands I listen to on my free time are, Radiohead, Coldplay, James Brown, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, The Mars Volta, Maroon 5.
Anything else?
Rachel- I love my band, and i wouldn't be anywhere else.
Wyman- I have spent trying to put bands together. I know i have come a long way getting this band together.
