G-MO(west)
West up peoples. I'm your boy G-MO representing that Hawthorne, Cali. I'm a rapper/producer trying to do my thang. I've been rapping for about seven years and producing for about two. My mine goal is to get the other coast's to believe in the west cuz right now they hatin on us. Game put the west back in it now it's time for your boy G-MO to jump up in it.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started rapping about 8 years ago with a underground rap group called third eye triad.
A year latter niggaz went they seperate ways and I was done with rap. In 2000 I started fuckin with some cats I met in the military and we formed a group called Knights of the round table(KRT). Becuase of the military I was split up from the group but I'm still doing my thang just on dolo now. I make my own beats and I still spit that fiya.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've done a few show's with my old group Krt, now I'm solo and I'm tryin to get some shit poppin.
Your musical influences
For production DJ Quik is my number one influence. Next is Dre, then Battle Cat, Timbo the King, Hitek, DJ Premire, Manny Fresh, David Banner and Rockwilder. For rhymes Tupac is at the top of my list, then Nas, Bad Azz, Ice Cube, Redman, Doctor Stank, Missy, and Busta.
What equipment do you use?
I have sonar 4, protools, reason 3, ableton live, rebirth, and sound forge 8. As far as hardware I have a roland fantom s 61 key, a motif rack es, a digi002,and a oxygen 8 midi controller
