Glenn Yoder
Howdy! My name is Glenn Yoder, a folky-jazzy-alt-country artist from Dallas, Texas, currently residing in Boston, Massachusetts.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Duffer was my band in Texas, a fun little combo I began putting together in 1994 and fronted through just recently. We scored a couple minor college radio hits in 2000 and 2001 with "Telephone" and "Together Rhymes with Clever" off Everything Up in Flames. After our second full-length, Leave the Records Stack'd, was released in summer 2003, we split up. I had recorded an experimental solo album simultaneously with the other album, and upon moving to Boston in September, began promoting it a bit. The songs "Ambivalent Farewells" and "Rainy Days" were semi-popular songs off Records... My solo album began getting some radio play in Boston, and hence pursuaded me to continue forth, playing and promoting. I plan to re-record select songs off my last 2 solo EPs from 2003 and 2004 and put together a formal full-length solo release.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I live in the Back Bay area of Boston, Massachusetts, serviced by the green line and the orange line. I play primarily in Boston, Cambridge and surrounding areas when the opportunity arises. Occasionally, I meander back to my old stomping grounds in Dallas, Texas, and relive my high school rock and roll glory.

Right now, when I'm playing shows solo, I use my voice, a 1981 Washburn Timberridge Custom acoustic guitar, and an old harmonica. In recording, I use Ludwig drums, various other guitars (a 1982 Gibson SG standard and a 1969 Fender Telecaster Thinline), a piano, an Ensoniq synthesizer, various children's toys, some bells from India my sister bought, etc.
Anything else?
I want you to be my friend.
