Glen Bayless
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
My music has always been very personal to me. Even though it's my hobby, it's my passion as well. I've been writing music for about 25 years - and, as you'll hear, I try to vary my styles. Something from Power Ballads to Dance - and everything in between. I've also been in bands since I was about 13 years old (and that's a damn long time!) :-) I've had the pleasure of being the drummer in the "opening act" for: drummer, Brian Nevin, allowed me to "sit in" with the band when he actually used my DW kit for one of their concerts.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
For the past 14 years, I played live nearly every weekend. But, recently, the band has decided to go our separate ways. So, I'm currently focusing my efforts in the studio - both writing and recording.
Your musical influences
Phil Collins is my inspiration... He's first and foremost a drummer - but, moreover, he's a complete musician. Josh Groban is also an amazing vocalist.
