G-Jay
We are a band of ex-pat English teachers living in CheongJu South Korea. We play loud guitar based rock which we try to infuse with melody and harmony.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We were formed in 2006, 3 Canadians and a Scotsman. We are all English teachers who love playing music. We began by jamming on covers at local westerner hang out bar and got more serious from there. Now we regularly play the festival circuit and larger venues in South Korea. Our new album, "The Amalgamation" was released in May 2009.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yeah, all the time. We play tons of shows in CheongJu, Seoul, Bucheon, all over korea really.
Your musical influences
Well, we all like different kinds of music which we hope brings a fresh quality to the band's music. The main influences are Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Neil Young, the Doobie Brothers. There are tons of others.
