Im from chicago born and raised. I always loved music from as far back as i can remmeber. I really think it started when i was 9 and i heard my brother and his friends group called the (verbal assasins) Thats when i knew i wanted to express myself in that way, a way where i can let my emotions go, talk about my feelings, my surroundings, my LIFE. My brother was killed when i was about 16 and thats when i really got seriosus wit it. The first group I was with was named (FIFTY BELOW) I was wit them about 1 year it was me (OOF), NATO, and my mans in dem FUGI. After we broke i became solo. Changed my name to GILLA put out my first under ground albulm it was hot. To this day i have 4 solo albulms and 2 comps. Now im tryin to let the world bare witness to a talent thats 1 of a kind so unorthadox that people have to listen. A talent thats rarely seen but when it is heard is monsterous. ''ME GILLA''
