Gilder’s sound has often been called distinctly English and yet so much is taken from all kinds of cultures worldwide. The basis though lies in folk mixed with electronica and leftfield breaks. Jay once described Gilder’s music as peanut butter on toast and it has remained a great formula crunchy beats with a smooth layer of deep orchestral sound.Band/artist history
Gilder was formed 3 years ago by Jay Waddington and Elly Field. Jay’s musical background and production skills combined beautifully with Elly’s vocals and lyrics to produce their unique sound.
Ian joined two years later having already spent many years perfecting his art as a drummer in most musical scenarios from jazz and folk through to rock.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes we do. We have no gigs lined up at the moment but we will keep you posted.
