"Voices for Christ" started in 1999 as a singing group with a vision of having as many as 20 plus voices. This vision of many talented voices is yet to come to pass, but that has not stop, slowed, or deterred Gil Conrad Johnson from the primary odjectives. Gil has continued to play bass, keyboards, drums, songwrite, sing, with wife Terrie. Along with starting a new Ministry 'About My Farthers Business Ministries" to get the word out through music. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Gil Conrad Johnson, Tony Marriot, Don Thomas (drums+music arrangements "Jesus is my Rock"),Robina Jackson, Felton Brookter,have been playing and singing together for a great while. Even though other projects and touring with others caused some projects to slow but not cease. Gil has been the foundation,the rock, the captian of the ship that holds it steady during turbulent waters.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We do play live; most venues are Churches, Concerts, and Festivals.
Your musical influences
All the positive Artist that get the word out to the world. Jesus is our savior; and perhaps recruit many others as soldiers in the army for the Kingdom of the Lord. Your body is God’s temple.
