Gid (UK)
Gid encompasses a very personal journey, trying to find the beauty in all aspects of life. The music is meant to represent a lifetime of experience, inspired by everything from nature to introspection.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The origins of Gid began in 2001, when Michaël started writing various pieces of music. Over these years the pieces have matured and new ones have been written. Currently, Michaël is putting together a demo.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not yet. I would like to soon though.
Your musical influences
Influences vary from metal to ambient, classical to industrial, blues to jazz. A few artists that have really inspired me to create my own music are Anathema, Mozart, Nine Inch Nails, Novembre, Joe Satriani, Saturnus and VAST, among others.
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez RG7 electric guitar, Line6 PodXT and a basic Casio keyboard.
