Ghostown NYC

Ghostown stands for more then just the 2 people in the group that rap, (Cig, Formz), it stands for their borough, Staten Island. There is a lot of talent in S.I., but with the exception of Wu Tang, most of it goes un-noticed, hence the name Ghostown. Ghostown has been rapping for a little over 2 years, and in that period have already dropped 5 mixtapes. In September of 2006 they released the third one in just over a year, which is hosted by well known industry DJ, DJ On Point, who has hosted both of Joe Buddens "Mood Music" mixtapes. Ghostown has performed in many different places including Wild Spirit, Pyramid, Illusions, X Factor etc. and has won showcases in the city. Ghostown also recieves regular airplay on S.I.'s only hip hop show, hosted by DJ Emilio Sparks (radio station 88.9), and gets many spins in clubs such as H2(Vibe), Illusions, Aqua, and X Factor. Over the past year, they have been on many mixtapes including "Off With Your Head Vol.1", hosted by DJ Gallic Wars, along side of industry artists such as 50 Cent, Jadakiss, Cam'ron, Canibus, Maino, etc. J - Formz is also featured on the song "Hater's Anthem" by the Dead End Kids, which is featured on the mixtape "White Heat, Vol.1", along side of well-known underground artists such as Team Alliance, Necro, Non phixion, and Ill Bill, which is out right now.(www.whiteheatmusic.com) Along with that, in under a year and a half, they have recieved a tramendous buzz on MySpace, recieveing over 11,000 friend requests, over 19,000 page views, and over 27,000 plays. Cig has also recently dropped a solo Mixtape, "Next In Line" on Friday December 15th which is selling extremely well and getting great feedback. You can also catch Ghostown on Datpiff.com for Cigs Mixtape, Next In Line, the link is http://www.datpiff.com/CiG-Ghostown-Next-In-Line-mid2848.html# . Formz has also just dropped his solo mixtape "Heaven & Hell", wich is selling well and getting great feedback. Currently, Cig and Formz are both in the process of rebuilding a website, working on a video for their new hit Ghostown song, "No Problems", and are working on a production company called "Wasted Talent Productions" wich will be dropping their debut CD in late 07.
