The formation of Gevania Records in 2000 was a response to the rising tide of online collaborative music efforts now taking place on the internet worldwide. Thousands of independent musicians, producers, songwriters, singers and instrumentalists are discovering that they don't have to run the "Old School Music Gauntlet". Instead, they can create, produce and publish music with other writers and performers directly through online music forums, and sell their music on direct-sales music websites. The great hurdle in the Old Days was, "who will give us a record deal?" Your chances were slim to none if you didn't know someone in A&R, or have a ton of money for attorneys who would "shop" your material, seeking a contract with a record company. The process often took years and usually ended with broken dreams. One thing hasn't changed -- you still have to be good! Gevania Records does both singles and CD compilations, so if you have a good single for starters, we can work with that, help you produce it, or if its ready to go, simply sign a simple collaboration agreement assigning royalties (we work through BMI).
Band/artist history
How Gevania Began In 1999, long time music buff Jenna Vescio (aka Jennarosa) had a "sound" idea (pun intended) -- to merge a production studio with a self-publishing company and work with a direct-sales marketing strategy. Earlier collaborations with members of a talent pooling project of Carol Bayer Sager, David Foster and Kenny (Baby face) Edmonds at tonos.com was where Jenna Vescio learned to work with talented singers and composers. Gevania Records was started with the help of Doug Miller, John Brumby, Charles Montgomery Smythe, Carl Wheeler, Catherine Chapman, Rosetta Vescio, A. Deluchi, W. Keay, B. McGuiness, located in the city of Manly North Shore, Sydney Australia. Gevania Records' innovations continued when, in 2000, Jenna Vescio opened an Internet music store and collaborator's music shop, which proved to be a hit with its self-production, self-publishing and record label style merchandising. Gevania paved its way from Australia to Ohio, Texas and then to Berea, Kentucky, USA. By now, Jenna Vescio was setting her sites for Nashville and new markets abroad. Gevania Records' expansion into the USA was a clever example of creative opportunism involving the procurement of an organization already trading as Victoria Lane Publishing Australia Pty Ltd. Entering America without a franchise was a bold move, and it proved successful by integrating unobtrusively into the music community. By 2004, Gevania Records had created an affiliation with one of the first online retail distribution stores. In an effort to increase the scope of available music, Gevania Records offers its listeners titles from undiscovered artists through an affiliation with CD Baby, which assisted in continuing the expansion of distribution with companies like: Apple iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Buy-Music, EMEPE3, Music-Match, Etherstream, Music4Cents, MP3tunes, QTRnote, NetMusic, Viztas, MSN Music, Loud-Eye, Music-Net, Weed On-line Promo, Rule-Radio, DigiPie, WeedICP Weed Files, Tower Records, Lulu.com and many more to come. Many artists we work with do not have the financial backing to get to their goal, so we administer help in achieving that result by selling their works through distribution and mechanical licensing. We do not allow people to steal our dreams -- we keep on moving down that road until that Big Door opens! Faith and loyalty plays a big part in collaboration and many things. If we put our trust in our Caretaker, He will guide us through rough and good journeys to the other side. To reach a vision or goal that we have, everything takes time, it does not happen overnight!

Our Mission Gevania Records mission is to work with Independent Artists in music, creative singing, role models, and help them through their stepping-stones to SUCCESS. Our productive collaboration group of Producers, Composers, Singers, Songwriters are available to assist with demo vocal guides, to work with a program of commercial lyric templates, and composers to assist with compositions of arrangement and melodies. We are here as a SUPPORT TEAM by way of collaboration with others, and to help them achieve self esteem, confidence and focusing in the learning development of music. Maybe we can all sing a song, but we are not stars been found, and our AIM is to let the world hear your voice and music, then the public can be the Judges whether they like our music or not. If we cannot do it then who can? By collaborating with our Production Group, self-publishing under our label, this is a team effort to get up-and-coming stars through the doors that do not open easily without help. We'd like to make it clear that we are not a big label like Sony -- we are just a supportive group of qualified musicians and producers that would like to hold your hand and take you through the hurdles of the Music Industry. We do not manage bookings for venues, but we have associates who do book live performances, and can certainly pass it along.
