Summer rain: The summer rain arrived a couple days ago, and will continue throughout the summer. There's something about monsoon time that changes the whole feel of the place. I don't know if it's the change itself, with the dry heat giving way to slightly cooler (though more humid) condition, or if it is that there is rain now, after the weeks of drought, but probably it is a little of both. Still, it all just feels fresher, purer, as if the rain has washed away some lingering filthiness and left the place purified. I just thought I'd share some thoughs from a tree-hugging dirt-worshipper....
