a ritual: I've never turned away from a good challenge whether in music or in life. One challenge I took on was to get back down to the weight I was when I first got married over 40 years ago. I'm almost there with only 2 Lbs to go...the goal 168 Lbs from 205. I should be thrilled but I'm not there yet so I'll just have to keep at it until I reach my goal. Requiem for a Soldier: As I worked all day yesterday and today on my adagio, I had a strange feeling that I was writing music for a funeral. Very emotional two days for me. A friend a mine said that it immediately brings to mind the mourning after a battle. With that thought in mind, I again worked on this piece. I don't know if it's quite finished yet. And my favorite part? The english horn playing taps at the very end . . . http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6232841...
