Geno Gottschall
Geno Gottschall has been an Austin, Texas based performer and songwriter for over a decade.
In nature, Geno is a pure Austin musician. His songs have a refreshing romanticism and a good-natured wit which soothes the sometimes cynical nature of the entertainment world. He presents a convincing hook without coming across as cheesy, and suffuses his songs with an honest passion that so many listeners can relate to. You feel allowed to cry with him in his pain and to still believe in love.

Born: July 27, 1974 in Austin, Texas.
First instrument: (voice at birth) piano, age seven
Next instrument: trumpet (2 years), TUBA, electric bass, guitar
Started writing songs: when I was 16, my high school sweetheart dumped me...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have been playing live in Austin since 1996. One of my favorite moments was my first gig on 6th street at Steamboat with the band Anchorheads.
Your musical influences
My most well-known musical influence is the Beatles, but my dad is really the biggest influence. Check out Mark Gottschall in Lawrence, Kansas. Also Cream, Led Zepelin, Buddy Holly, Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Lee Hooker
