Dead Beats, the team that consists of Brian Freel and Geneyes the Professor. Coming from Huntersville, North Carolina, a hint of street smarts coupled with a lack of punchline rhymes and redundancy. Always trying to push the parameters of what you want to call hip-hop music.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Professor, aka Geneyes, aka Omega Red, Mike G, is all one man from the north end of Charlotte, North Carolina. The Professor is originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania (stand up). Brian Freel, the producer behind the Professor's non-mixtape tracks (none posted yet, sorry), orginally hails from Rochester New York. The two have been making music together since 2001 and have traversed not only styles but even genres over the years. Starting in a punk band called The Last Action Heroes, Brian and The Geneyes decided that hip-hop in the Charlotte area needed a face lift.
