General Spade

General Spade was born and raised in the slums of Buffalo New Yorks west side, which is where he devolped his strong love for hip hop culture. As a teenager, Spade would listen to such hip hop artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and Redman and was impressed with the rugged sound that seemed to emulate his the surroundings he lived in. In fact, he was so impressed that he decided to pick up a pen and pad @ age 15 and began writing battle raps and would use them to destroy other rappers @ Seneca high school. At this point Spade was gaining respect and popularity from the local hip hop scence and helped form a group called "Dark Soldiers" with Cipher Kenni, Charlie Bronze and Lito Corleone. Eventually the crew would grow with the additions of X n.o.w. and Tone @las and would change it's name to W.a.r.f.a.r.e. At age 19 things began to change for the General. Members of W.a.r.f.a.r.e. disbanded across the country, so he began to make his name known alone. GS did shows all over the Western Ny area and began to command serious attention due to his rapid flow and complex punchlines. the only problem at this point was beats! There not many producers in Buffalo at the time, so Spade @ 21 decided to buy an MPC and make beats himself. After becoming known as one of the best producers and emcees, Spade was forced to take a hiatus from music for 4 years due to a personal tradegy. upon his return in 2006 Spade was determined to reach the top of the game. After returning Spade shared stages with the talents of Ghostface Killah, Hassan Mackey and many others. He has return with an amazing array of talent and has helped reform the Warfare crew. he has had his music rotated on 103.3 the edge (Peace to S&R), 93.7 Wblk, 91.3 Wbny, as well as various internet sites and stations. His hit welcome to Buffalo has reached #1 on myspace music in the Northeast region. he was won various battles and contests online and continuing to do shows across the Northeast. In 2008 Spade plans to drop his mixtape "Generally Speaking" in June of 2008 and his yet to be titled debut album later this later this summer. As you can see 2008 will be a busy for the general and the Warfare crew and we hope you and the industry are ready to keep up. Peace
