GBMI
We're an original & cover band playing classic rock & current covers.
We love to play and write music!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Welcome to GBMI world!
For those who don’t know, here is history lesson 101.
We were formerly known as the Guilty Party.
A hard rockin’ original Detroit Rock Band of the 80’s. Shit happens! Changes were made for better or worse, then by sheer luck, we all ended up in the same nut farm of life, Downriver.
When the realization set in for all of us, that all was not right with the world (as long as we had instruments but were not playing them, it wouldn’t be), we set out on a new path of enlightenment, God gave Rock n Roll to us!
4 of the founding members of the GP lineup, touched by the hand of fate, found the missing link, Jim Jackson. A bass player with the chops to hold down the backend of a range of music so diversified, it makes Meryl Lynch shake his head, and yet so refined, that he takes his medication without water!
Jim joins Tom “Shark” Sharkey & Mike Guidice on guitars, Rob “Bake” Baker on drums, and Scott “Pudge” Kloock on vocals, to form the new
GBMI (Guilty, but Mentally ill)
We are playing songs from long ago, those recently gracing the airways, as well as some of our own.
New songs are being learned or written weekly and will soon be available for the world to hear.
We have played 3 private parties since being unleashed, for a total of about 1000 people.
Those that have heard us, wonder where we went for so long. Do we dare tell the truth? I think not!
Adding to the list of favorites from the likes of: the Animals, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Dead Boys, Lit, Dishwalla, Creed, 3 Doors Down; we now venture forth with songs from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nickleback, Filter & more from GBMI!
There will be more info to come, so please stay tuned and feel free to let us know what you're thinkin'!
We won't hold it against ya & don't worry, with the medication they've got us on, we don't bite anymore! or less.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yep, we've played 3 Private Parties for about 1000 people and our latest product has been very well received. We give it our heart, soul and balls to bring you into the songs and make you part of them.
Your musical influences
To vast to name them all. Anyone who has come before us with a passion for music! Thanx!!!
