Band/artist history

"Gates of Affliction" is a heavy alternative metal band originally formed under the name Harlequin Thirst in early 2005. the band name was later changed to Gates of Affliction when the band parted ways with it's drummer. Later the band experienced numerous lineup changes until the only remaining members were Max Faith(Guitar) and Kevin Wright(Drums). Eventualy they chose Alex Dragon to be their new frontman and guitarist Allan Fidler to handle the lead guitars. In spring 2007 the band found it's new bass player Nick Brown.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Yes. Anywhere. We have played numerous battle of the bands and shows at many venues. The trocadero in philly (oct. 20 2007) will be our biggest to date. This is the venue where Lamb of God shot their dvd Killadelphia.

Your musical influences

We are diverse. we love music from all genres. several bands that we can all agree on are Lamb of God, Chimaira, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Dragonforce, Avenged Sevenfold, and DevilDriver. but each of us has our own unique perspective on bands and which rule and which suck.
