Gaston Praddaude
I play guitar since i was 15, i love progressive metal/rock, death metal, jazz, classical, etc. I actually play guitar and write music for two bands here in my city Cordoba, Argentina. One is called Devius and we play progressive death metal drawing influences from Death, Opeth, In Flames, Behemoth, and others. The other one is called Estratagema and is a neo-progressive rock band ala Porcupine Tree.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Too long, and there are two of them!
But my history is more simple, i picked up the guitar at 15 after starting with metallica and other things, then just practicing and writing music (wich i love doing).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Actually not playing live, i of course love to do it but the bands are in a reorganization process so its a matter of time and of things coming the right way.
Your musical influences
Opeth, Death, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and from then on a lot of bands and genres.
What equipment do you use?
Jackson PS4 with Seymour Duncan Invader pickups. Randall RG100SC amp (with 2 Celestion 12") and a Line 6 XT live Pedal. That is my main rig.
