G And The Ts
Gail & the Tricksters are fun-lovin, dynamic live performers who never fail to get folks on their feet. They have toured everywhere from Memphis, TN to Stockholm, Sweden. Gail, originally from Hawaii, is the bands charismatic and versatile lead singer. Writes Bill Schlitz of Enigma magazine: I was really impressed by the vocal work done by Gail. She has one hell of a voice that seems to reverberate around the room... It was really nice. She is backed by a stellar line-up of musicians Walter Egan on lead guitar, Steve Haggard on harp, Supe Granda on bass and Kathy Burkly on drums all of whom have their own long lists of performing and recording credits. The bands' exciting, original sound has won the admiration of Rockabilly Hall-of-Famers Wanda Jackson (who Gail and the band have backed and opened for at several Tennessee shows) and Frank Andy Starr (with whom Gail dueted on his final recordings). Interviewed by the Nashville Rage, Wanda Jackson said of Gail & The Tricksters: I worked with them last year at the Americana festival. We previewed my new album together. They are an excellent band, and I'm really grateful to have them.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we are a great live band. We've done live appearances both regionally
around Nashville, TN and I've performed all
over Europe and Scandanavia, The Czech Repbulic, and Israel.
