Galit
Galit, renown for her powerful, rich and sultry voice, is an artist of international caliber. She was born in Granby of Moroccan decent and was raised in Montreal.
Trilingual singer-songwriter, Galit also studied music as a jazz voice major with Ranee Lee.
In Quebec, her televised appearances include the “Telethon of the Stars” and “L’Autobus du Showbusiness”. Galit’s experiences include being a background vocalist for Quebec artist Marie Carmen and she was also featured in Garou’s band, “The Untouchables”.
As a former lead singer of the French group “Emotions”, the first single “Chaque Minute Sans Toi” charted at #5 for several weeks on Fredericton Radio CJPN (90.5 F.M.).
As a solo artist, 5 of Galit’s songs smashed through Besonic’s International internet music charts at #1, 2 and 3 in Canadian urban/soul, world music and dance genres; thus giving the name “Flavors” to her debut cd.
Presently, Galit’s Spanish ballad “Mi Paraíso” is on regular rotation on Montreal’s CFMB (1280 am) Latin American program hosted by Elisa Pierna. In addition, Galit is currently touring the province of Quebec.
