www.myspace.com/GFP2 If a group’s name defines them, then you know all you need to know about GFP. Their name and music helps you to realize “life is simpleit just ain’t easy”. Just as diverse as the words used to describe them [Gain from Pain/ Grindin For Paper], so are the members of this team. Dave Dayz is from up north. He hails from New Rochelle in Yonkers New York and proud of it. “I know a lot of people haven’t heard of New Rochelle, but if you kept up with Hip-Hop movement that’s where Grand Puba and Brand Nubian was fromdon’t sleep on it.” His lyric driven style will leave you in a daze, while the tale of his life may leave you in shock. Unlike most NY rappers, he has content and substance, not just song after song of how “spectacular his lyrical vernacular will smack ya”. Dave says “I was raised in NY, but I have been in GA for a lil over 10yrs, so I accumulated game from both NY and GA. C-NOE represents “da durty” all day long. No, not the dirty south, but the durty-durty Midwest-St.Louis. “My mother was on the move so much we really never stayed in one hood for long, but it was always in da hood for sho”. Great struggle usually brings great success and C-NOE has struggled greatly and is ready for success at any cost. He came to Atlanta because of his hunger and drive to make it out. However, ‘C’ keeps it real in all his rhymes and comes straight at you with explosive lyrics that attack the mic and beat up the beat. “I think the difference in me and other rappers from da Lou ismy style. I'm not commercial, cuz that’s not me.” He can ride the beat better than most other popular St. Louis rappers. You won’t hear any nursery school remixes here. His explosive, attack the mic style demands your attention. So, if you’re looking for good lyrics, street savvy, content rich, lyric driven, and beat banging; the only thing that’s left is to Join the G.F.P Movement and “Gain from Pain” while you “Grind For Paper”.
Band/artist history
All history is in bio above
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We perform live wherever we can and enjoy it every time because we always get great feedback. Many people have asked why we are not signed to a big label and playing on all the radio stations, because are music and performances are hot, and people are demanding our music. Once any one gives us an opportunity to just hear the music then they are real suprised with the great quality, music, and lyrical skills GFP puts out.
Your musical influences
Also included in bio. TI, Ludacris, Jay-Z, 2Pac, Biggie, Nelly, EPMD, Run DMC, triple 6 Mafia, NWA, Scarface, Geto Boys, Trick Daddy, etc.......
What equipment do you use?
Studio Equipment include Pro tools, Korg, Reasons, Yamaha, Roland MPC, Analog Board, etc
Anything else?
Please support the movement. GFP and Down & Dirty Records, Inc. are taking over the south with a massive wave of hits and hot artists. Call in and request our music at any and every radio station in your area. If they say they dont have it then ask them why and tell them where to get it. Radio stations are supposed to play what the fans want to hear, but if you dont complain about the crap the playing and request them to play good music then they will continue pushing out crap that they have been paid to play.
