FustaRhymes
I am known as Fusta'Rhymes. I have been in the whole music scene sence I was very young but only got into making music in 2000. Almost everyone in my family is into music production in some way so its kinda genetic you could say!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It all started when I was in my dads studio when he and my mother were still togeather. I was sittin in there foolin around with one of his keyboards trying to imitate an old song by Onyx.
He later showed me what sequencing was and how it worked. He started me out with a Yamaha QY-10. Later on when I really got into the business in 2000 I got a 500mhz PC with Reason 1.0. The sound was terrible so I moved on to better hardware for monitoring and mixing.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I dont play live yet. Altho I have freestyled with groups of people at the schools and parks in my town. It was great! You get this good feeling when your goin and people are cheerin you on to not stop. I would do this again, and very much plan to.
What equipment do you use?
For sequencing and computer editing I use such programs as: Reason 2.0, FL Studio 5, Sound Forge 5.0, Virtual Sound Canvas 3.2, The JAZZ midi sequencer and Vegas Video 3.0 for little music video segments. On the hardware side: Samson DA80 desktop monitoring system, 2 Samson M40 monitors, Samson MIXPAD9, Samson R21 XLR microphone, Studio37 37-key midi controller, Yamaha GEP50 effects processer,Yamaha YST-SW40 self powered sub monitor,Boss BR-864 recorder, Delta 44 Breakout box with soundcard, USB Midisport 4x4, Peavey PV 260 poweramp with two 15" subs of an unknown brand(present) 2 titainum dome tweeters and 2 mid-range tweeters. Oh can't forget the Yamaha QY-10 thats being used as a midi controller now.
Anything else?
I love music! Its what really clouds over the pain of my past and present.
