Funky Innovations
Funky Innovations is the name of the production label that is ran by the re-Innovator -- one of the funkiest and freshest guys out there.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The story goes back a few years ago with a guy known to many as DJ Run (not confused with the one from Run-DMC). Run created the now defunct DJ Run Productions label as a venue to produce his first album, a prank call comedy group. Through a high school friend, the comedy group The New Jerky Boys hooked up with the new production label and the group compiled three albums, yet only one was released. Run went under the name of 187 when the album officially came out entitled "The New Jerky Boys, Vol 1.". After creative and financial differences, the group broke up by the summer of 2000. Run persued solo projects such as working on other comedy material and his own solo single entitled "A.I." (an Allen Iverson hip-hop parody track). In 2002, Run hooked up with producer re-Innovator while in Riverside, California. The re-Innovator and his music production label, Funky Innovations was backed up by Run on his new record label Nostalgic Funk Records.
