Funkus- This band was created sometime in the new millennium, somewhere on the surface of planet Jupiter. Mr. Razzledazzle, a.k.a. Dave Rucinski (Furlong, Prozax, Mr. Samples), and The Wizard White Magic, a.k.a. Kevin Magner (Furlong), blasted off from the eye of Jupiter in their FunkCraft and set forth on a mission to funk the universe and save it from total music boredom! The first target planet: Earth! Mr. Razzledazzle and White Magic fired their first shot of funk on the 2001 The Indestructible Gubbey Records Sampler CD with the song Put It In Your Mouth (White As Snow). The Dazzle and Magic have come back much stronger with their recent funk landing on Gubbey Records newest sampler with the song entitled "Sexual Investigators". The funk duo took a stop off at Louisvilles Tin Pan Basement Studios in late 2003 to record this track, and it ended up becoming a three-month exploration in writing, recording, and mixing! The time was well spent on this sexual thriller in which Funkus goes on a sexual investigation and ends up with the chicks! Featuring Mr. Razzledazzle on Lead Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Bass, Drum Programming, and Backing Vocals and White Magic on Keyboards, Key Drums, Bass and some backing Vocals, the song is a wall of funk sound. Funkus is currently trying to take over the funk world and looks forward to recording more in 2004!
