FunkMnkyz
Band/artist history
Centuries ago in another time dimension (actually in the late 80's) a family moved into a house in a cul-de-sac in Burke, VA. They had a son ... Steve Danger*(see * below) was his name. One day "Danger" was introduced to one of his older brother Felipe Danger's friends, the one and only John Quest**. Over the years, they embarked on many adventures together throughout the square station of Burke, VA, but eventually each made new friends and hung out less and less. One of these new friends that Danger made was a young superhero by the name of Alpha Seven***. You see, these two were brought together by an even greater force, An Ycaza, a mutual friend of Danger and Alpha Seven. Time passed, and they too went their separate ways. At this time, it was unbeknown to either Alpha or Danger that years later (ten to be exact) they would reacquaint and begin a venture (along with John Quest and eventually E.ROK**** and V.I.C.E.17*****) that would later be dubbed Funkmnkyz.
One night, Danger walked into the local Tiger Mart to pay for his gas and ran into an old friend, E.ROK. The first thing the freakin' dirty hippie utters from his mouth is "Ah, you still play drums?" "Oh yes, quite so, although my K-a-r-a-t-e has weakened as I've become fat and happy in my old age," Danger replied. "Well I play bass," the hippie responded. The two exchanged numbers and have been playing music together ever since.
Vice 17 emerged through the trees one evening and came to Felipe Danger's doorstep. Not knowing what to do to help him, Felipe called his little brother, Steve, because he knew that he would be able to help Vice. Danger came to the rescue, not only setting Vice straight but also gaining V.I.C.E.'s eternal loyalty. V.I.C.E.17 completed the formation of Funkmnkyz and now, the saga will continue ...Have you performed in front of an audience?Live at Jimmys Tavern
