Funerary Dirge

Funerary Dirge is an experimental, ambient/classical funeral doom metal band. The focus of this project is on the creation of minimalistic soundscapes, and songs which evoke dread.

Funerary Dirge was concieved in early 2003, and a demo, entitled 'abyssus abyssum invocat', was released in the fall of 2003, which landed the band a deal with ... who released the debut full length, 'Prologue: Memoria in Aeterna' in February of 2004. Already, copies of this album are considered rare, and collectible, with used copies fetching upwards of $20USD on eBay.

Currently, music is being recorded for the followup, entitled 'Chapter I: Requiem and Regret', as well as a split concept album with .
