Fretonic Sound are a Rock Band based in Hertfordshire (South-East England). We were formed over about 2-3 years from previous local bands "Crisis" and "Payback". We try to please most crowds by playing a melodic rock style while adding strong, crunchy riffs to please the more "Metal" loving people...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We are a rock band based in Hertfordshire, UK, and we are currently writing our own material as Fretonic Sound.
The original band "Crisis" consisted of 5 members, 2 guitars, 1 bass, 1 singer and drummer. After a couple of gigs as Crisis the bassist left and our rhythm guitarist replaced him.
At that point we renamed to "Force Of Habit". In this stage of the bands life not much happened, we wrote a few new songs but never really got into it.
Eventually our ex-guitarist turned bassist left and we started looking for a new bassist. At this point the singer of recently folded "Payback" asked to play bass for us. We agreed and Fretonic Sound was born.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Anywhere we can. Mainly school gigs and house parties. We're looking for more substantial gigs from promoters.
Your musical influences
We're influenced by many different styles of bands, ranging from Joe Satriani to Incubus. While still encoorporating more melodic lines similar to Snow Patrol etc.
