The Music Of Stephane Grappelli
In the 1930s, gypsy legend Django Reinhardt and swing violinist Stéphane Grappelli met to form Europe's best-known jazz group: the Quintette of the Hot Club de France. The music they played was called Hot Club Jazz or Gypsy Jazz, because of the influence of gypsy music in their way of playing. Fret & Fiddle carry on this tradition and present a special evening as a tribute to Stephane Grappelli.
