Fresh Heir
In a world today that is defined by musical genres Fresh Heir is continuing to strive to beat the common mold. When Fresh Heir takes the stage, people can be rest assured that they are no doubt, in for a time like theyve never experienced. With the uncommon combination of bass keys, organ, saxophone, trumpet, guitar and drums, Fresh Heir packs an arsenal to keep their listeners experience entertaining and keep them moving to the groove all night long. By fusing together different music style elements such as improvisation, positive lyricism, soul/hip-hop, rock, gospel, jazz, reggae and anything else they deem necessary to enhance a persons musical experience, Fresh Heir is continuing to further their message of hope, peace, and remembrance that music is supposed to make you feel good about yourself. From the first horn blast to the last drum crash, Fresh Heir is sure to keep its audience filled with the spirit and energy that will exhilarate listeners to new heights of musical understanding. Fresh Heirs All Star lineup is led by a crew of five hot, young, talented musicians based primarily out of St. Louis, Mo. After meeting each other while attending St. Louiss Webster University, Desi Reichold (trumpet/vocals), Tim Siskey (tenor saxophone), Ben Roig (guitar), Nick Savage (drums/vocals) and Ryan Marquez (organ, bass keys and vocals) decided to collaborate on a project with intentions of creating a fresh, Nu sound for audiences of all ages and styles to dig on.
Band/artist history
In January of 2007 the group began their claim to the Nu-Jazz inheritance behind the skillful, flavored compositions of Nick Savage, Ryan Marquez and the cleverly jazz-witted rock melodies of Ben Roig. With the addition of Tim Siskey and Desi Reicholds energetic horn melodies the group creates a pyramid of sound driven by the new definition of thumping bass: keyboard bassist Ryan Marquezs left hand. During the first six months of Fresh Heirs reign, they began to mark their territory around St. Louis bringing down the house at local venues such as the Lucas School House, Venice Café, House of Rock, Brandts Red Carpet Lounge, Erato Wine Bar along with numerous others.

Fresh Heir won their first battle of the bands sponsored by Detroit Lakes, MNs 10,000 Lakes Festival. This win over six other hand selected St. Louis bands guaranteed Fresh Heir a spot on the fan favorite Saloon Stage during the three day festival. One critiques assessment of their July 19th performance went like this: Speaking of which, the hippest part of 10KLF, the Saloon Stage, was off and running in great fashion with St. Louis surprise Fresh Heir. While the majority of the music seekers flocked to the big names of Particle and Galactic, the little-known Fresh Heir brought energy and a fresh sound to the Saloon. For my money, this young group was the best catch of the three bands mentioned, led by drummer Nick Savage fusing jazz, funk, salsa and a little bit of playfulness with Skee Lo's one-hit-wonder "I Wish." -Brian Heisler of Jambase.com Fresh Heirs appearance at this festival marked an important date in festival history, as they became the youngest band to ever appear on a 10klf stage. Since the 10,000 Lakes Fest Fresh Heir has begun to stake their territory across the Midwest. Having performed in Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota and Colorado Fresh Heir continues to take their music across the nation on their claim to fame. Currently the band is working on recording their first album, yet to be titled, but have released numerous underground recordings. Fresh Heir is also in contention in the Bodog Battle of the Bands. This competition is for a chance to win a one million dollar contract and a spot on Bodogs reality TV show on Fuse network. The band will be performing in Chicago Jan 19th 2008 to advance to the final round. Keep an open eye as Fresh Heir will be coming to a city near you.
