Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Frequency began with Phanyxx & Tarantado in 1999 born in the foolish drunken freestyles. They started out rapping to instrumentals provided by mainstream artists and anything else that had a solid beat. Although their skills were sharpening in the lyrical department, it wasn't enough to be able to spit a written rhyme. There had to be more. In August of 2003, Tarantado decided to up the game to the next level, production. He ended up going to an audio engineering school where he met Irex and soon later Juss-J. Frequency was reborn with a new kind of flavor, and now with a stronger backbone. Things clicked from the start and withing a year, the group had enough songs for 2 albums. Again, it wasn't enough so since the summer of 2004, Frequency has been looking for gigs here and there trying to get their names out there. By the summer of 2005, something was still missing. An attention getter. It was evident, we needed a singer. Dru was asked to join Frequency because of his ear catching sound. Some venues include: Mabuhay TV (television performance - Seattle, Washington) DV8, Tonic, Fever Nightclub, Atlantis, City Limits Cabaret, The Capital Nightclub, The Warehouse, Croatian Cultural Centre, (Clubs & Venues - Vancouver, BC) Importfest 2004 (Canada Place - Vancouver BC) Richmond Nightmarket (Richmond, BC) Check the website for more stuff like our music video, "Call Out My Name", shot by Phaylanx Entertainment in Vancouver.
