I've returned to recording after a long break. In the late 1980's I recorded industrial music under the name Formula 409. A tape, "Cleanses Your Palate," was released on the Charnel House label in 1989, as well as a single on Charnel's Arrythmia compilation. Unable to handle the demands of stardom (the tape sold 20 copies or so), I went underground for almost two decades. I recently sold most of my old physical equipment and restarted with a mostly computerized studio. I've become interested in films and wrote several pieces for the soundtrack to my short film "Yen."
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Never have.
Your musical influences
The influences of Formula 409 were '80's industrial and exerimental, particularly those with a melodic and humorous side like Jim Thirlwell (Foetus) and Butthole Surfers, as well as pop and classical. The past few years I've also been listening to D&B and other rhythmic music like Blue Man Group. I have a long-standing fondness for punk: Recently I've been listening to Bad Religion and NOFX.
