Fly Guys Baby

Fly Guys are what happened when Hip-Hop and Comedy had passionate sex. Thats right; Unprotected, raw, rhythmic, hilarious, genuine love making. 9 months later, Fly Guys were born. Lyrical prowess and comedic genius collide together as Fly Guys invite you into their brains. enimaL, Tone and DJB comprise the trio of South Central MCs turned hilarious, web phenomenon. Together Fly Guys embody the voice of a whole generation. Off the success of their award winning web-series, Fly Guys present: The F Word, Fly Guys have worked tirelessly to complete their 8th studio project entitled, The ONE. With production from Ron Browz (Ether, One Mic, Pop Champagne), C. Wallace (Upgrade U), and of course Fly Guys own member, Fly Guy enimaL, they have neared completion of The ONE and it is set to release 4.20.11. This is something that is just an overall higher quality project from us. We reached out to a lot more producers than in the past and its inspired some new, innovative tracks. Fly Guy DJB explains. I think this could for real be The ONE. Fly Guys are already breaking ground in the entertainment world, seamlessly fusing visual and auditory mediums in a way previously unheard of. People hear our music and are amazed by the quality of it, Fly Guy Tone accounts, then they check out our web series [The "F" Word] and are amused at how hilariously we portray our lives. Tone, DJB, and enimaL are ushering in a new wave of entertainment. Fly Guys are ready. Are you?
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We started up in the summer of 2005 (our senior year) and have been soaring ever since.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Playing live is one of our favorite aspects of creating music. Just to see the fans react to something that we have created from our minds and hearts gives us a feeling that can not be described. We have had some really good shows at colleges (Stanford, USC, CSUN) as well as clubs (The Roxy, The Viper Room, House of Blues). One of the special moments for us was getting our first paid show. It was then that we realized, "Whoa, we can really make a living off of this trade that we have SO much fun doing."
