When the master of flowers made these buds sprout,
it was raining tears.
Having taken their name from a "SIMPSONS" -episode, these well groomed guys want to endure their surrounding with lots of melancholy and irony to gain a musical and lyrical potential out of it. Flowers By Irene developed their own style and even released an early demo-CD
(UNFKNBLVBL. UNRSPCTBL. UNCOOL. / MaSP Records)
which contains a CD-ROM-track, with band-info, video-clip, photos and a bonus song. A new release is scheduled for Early 1999. After playing several local gigs theyre going to enter the national scene. There was a whole lot of activity in spring. The boys had done a selfinitiated USA promotional tour to build up a kind of an underground-level overseas, too. In april, theyll supported New Yorks "WORLD BANG" (Popular/BMG Aris), F.B.I. always know how to rock the houses and open-air stages. Their sound is a blend of alternative/Rock-din, which has to offer sweet melodics, too.
The mixture is dominated by big (yeah, bass too!)- guitars, fat drums and sometimes manic vocals, which complain about the everyday sorrows, that are able to surprise us from time to time. Or sometimes just about an emotional death.
their different faces ( speaking of music style ) was taken to the public during their Unplugged Summer98 Club Tour. Due to the UNFKBLVBL. success OF their Acoustic Club Tour FLOWERS BY IRENE Will Rock and Shock ya with an Acoustical Jam Tour starting in March 1999 and will Rock ya into the Year 2000.
