I'm a rapper coming out of the NAP (Indianapolis,In) with a message to convey to the world about walking down the narrow road of life. Its tough, gritty, grimy, wolves are everywhere trying to take from you what you gain. However the bible tells us that we must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. This is saying that if a man fears nothing (not even God?) that he is the ruler of his own destiny; he has built up a place for himself a paradise for after he leaves this earth and is free to do as he wishes while here on earth. This is simply a trick devised by the devil to stir man away from the will of God. No man has a Heaven to put himself in or a Hell to keep out of. Gaining the world will profit a man nothing in the kingdom of God. However, like a child to his parents, God should be embraced as the Father and head of your life that you would be humbled, settled, and disciplined enough to follow him and live according to his rules and will; while avoiding the wiles of the dieing. I want to remind the world of the Gospel by putting them in the front seat and taking them back to the bible through music.
Band/artist history
Narrow Road ent was established early 2010 when a jail sentence made me see the real light of things. Being there amidst the negativity caused me to realize that I could either let the situation fuel the emotions already stirred up and take me down a bitter road, or open my eyes and see Christ working around me. I chose to open my eyes and the most amazing thing happened. "Change". Before I went in, I went by the rap name Shorde Wayne
and was working on an album so gritty it scared my fiancée and kids because they alway's knew I was better than that. I went to jail just before I finished my last song to a 12 song debut solo album. I lost everything and almost my family if I didn't choose to turn around. So a new name, album, purpose, etc was needed to bring to you the mindset and music you are
reading and listening to today. God Bless.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I used to play live back when I was rapping for the streets (secular). I haven't had the privilege of doing Christian rap live yet but for the lord I would get out there and hold it down!
Your musical influences
Rappers/Musicians that can add depth to their music that will add meaning and character to their songs. Something I can return to years later and say man this is still hot!
What equipment do you use?
studio equipment...
Anything else?
I also create webpages, do professional photography and Photoshop work. Look for this later this year as I'm still resetting up everything that was once lost. Always willing to learn and apply myself.
