Flophaus since(2000)(2001)(2002)(2003)(2004)(2005)(2006)As for the name Flophaus, it was first spelled flophouse until we were notified of a band from Chicago with that name. So we changed the spelling to FLOPHAUS. Well to start Flophaus was started in 2000 in Marlboro, Massachusetts by two friends Kevin Pinkham and Kenny Doyle. Kenny today known as Mrfloppy was a poet and had been writing for over 20 years and decided to put his words to music. So he Contacted Kevin nickname Pinks. Who was a lead guitarist in the 80s in the Boston band Dorian Grey, Pinks also owns and operates a recording studio called The Disgruntled Sound Studio. Well he called Pinks for a meeting late summer of 1999 to help him produce his writings. So it began. Well it took a while but Pinks managed to gather a few friends together. Bill Apone(drummer) and Larry Goodreau (Bass).during this time Mrfloppy practiced singing and tried to learn and play the acoustic guitar better. Well to make a long story short they formed the band Flophaus. After playing out a few times we recorded and finished production of our first CD (Neighborhood Nuisance)in 2001.Then the band began to work on there 2nd CD in 2002. It was at this time we had musician difficulties.And came to abrupt halt as Mrfloppy became ill and under went a few surgeries and is just now in 2006 almost completely recovered and ready to go. So begins the next chapter in Flophaus' goal to finish the 2nd CD. Hopefully production will begin no later than the fall of 2006.Besides Pinks and Mrfloppy they will now be accompanied by 2 new members soon to be announced in 2006.(To be continued)....."UPDATE".... March 9th 2006 It's Official Flophaus is almost ready to finally move ahead in 2006.We First would like to welcome R.I.C.O...Who is one of our newest members in the band...R.I.C.O..Who is an acomplished bass player has great style and energy.And he is just as excited as we are to finally get things going.Our 1st almost full band practice begins March 19th as we get ready for the 5th Annual Cancer fund raiser in New Hampshire.Recording will also begin as soon as our new drummer is named....Now Stay Tuned cause we hope to perform out late 2006 to Early 2007.(To be continued)......3/27/2006...The search is over for a drummer...We are so glad to welcome back to the mix Larry "The GHOST" Goodreau..We say welcome back because larry was our first bass player in 2001 who left because of medical reasons and his commiment to EVEL KARAOKE.after switching his schedule this month at his new job he now returns as our new drummer...WELCOME BACK LARRY we missed you...Flophaus'first whole practice begins 4/02/2006..As predicted by the pinksta but not hoped for The GHOST Larry has disapeared once again leaving the drumming position up for grabs .Yes after a one time practice and a no show last week the ghost has retreated back into his cave of being a couch potato.It seems he found the free equipment and chaufferd ride to and from rehearsal to much.Now you know how he got the name ghost.Here one minute gone the next.Best of luck larry.(TO BE CONTINUED)Update 4/29/2006 we just made contact with 3 drummers to be auditioned this week.We believe Steve from Manchester may be our next choice(to be continued) UPDATE....5/07/2006..Steve ..a.k.a. Gunn slinger was our unanimus Choice today great drummer with a great attitude....5/21/2006 after practice today we voted to put recording on hold until after july.So now we find ourselves coming together much better without the added stress of trying to get to much done in such a short time.So now our focus is on trying to cram in as much practice as possible to find the right songs for us to perform for the Cancer Fund Raiser this coming July 22nd 2006 Hope to see you there.(To be Continued after Fund raiser).Fund raiser launched twice due to rain.Next Fund Raiser to be July 19th 2008....(Update)...Feb 4 2007 Flophaus to begin tour in march with new bass player Jimmy Demer....R.I.C.O..a.k.a....kenny errico has moved on to hip hop..we will miss him but at the same time welcome the seasoned vet Jimmy D to the Band....(To Be Continued)......(UPDATE)....Flophaus welcomes back R.I.C.O. after a long 3 month disapearence....Flophaus begins tour spring 2007 ......exact date to be announced.........Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live as much as possible.As for Where You name it.We enjoy nothing more than the opertunity to turn others on with our unique style of music.Favorite Moment was at what used to be MaMa kin's on landsdown street in boston.

BE it Rock,Pop,Metal,Classical,Punk,Funk,Blues we love it all and try to add it all in to the mix in one way or another,such as for a few bands The Cramps,The Doors,Elvis,The Ramones,The Sex pistols,The Clash,Johnnny Cash,Ozzy,Areosmith,Led Zepplin,Alvin and the chipmunks,Sesame Street and Barney.)......"FLOPHAUS"What equipment do you use?
Except for the usual FENDER ,MARSHAL YAMAHA and TAMA equipment.And the occasional drum machine (but very rarely) well as far as other equipment goes thats for the Disgruntled Sound Studio Master Pinks.He's pretty much the brains when it comes to the low and high ends of things.Really though between all of us theres just way to much to mention.Bottom line you name it and we probally have it.And if we dont we dont need it.Anything else?
