My name is Sonny and Im a one man band. I do what I love to do and thats making beat. if you dont like, Im just doing what I do.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I been making beats ever since I was a jr in college. One of my friends had a program called fruity loops and I was messing around with that. I then started to take basic music classes. What I learned there I try to experiment with my beats. Ever since then I been making beats for about 6 years. I feel I use more of the south type beats because at the time I started to make beats I was listing to alot of music from the south. Then I would always make beats that would sound west coast cause thats where Im from and I just love to keep it that way. While I was making beats I started to open up with different genres like r&b and reggae. So far So good.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No I just make beats.
Your musical influences
My first influences was Dr Dre. Hands down the best dj of all time. then some dj quick, timberland, JD, kanye west, and so many other.
What equipment do you use?
I started of with fruity loops then I moved to Reason 4.0.
