"Happy, High-Energy, Christian, Punk Rock"-these are words used to describe the band Fleagle. Fleagle is a four piece punk rock band based in Uniondale, IN, just south of Ft. Wayne. They were formed in summer of 2001, and currently include the following members: Brian Lewis - rhythm guitar and lead vocals; Scott Gilbert - lead guitar and bgv's; Jason Skidmore - bass; and Adam Springer - drums. However, Fleagle was not always called Fleagle, nor did it always contain the current four members. Fleagle was originally called Attack of the 5 Ball, and had a different bassist and singer. But, the band settled some conflicts, and they were down to three, with Brian singing. Shortly thereafter, the bassist decided that being in this kind of band wasn't right for him, and Brian and Adam were the only two left. They began searching for members, and invited Scott to play guitar. Brian would play bass for the time being, until Jason (who had actually never played bass) joined band. This is when the band decided that they needed a new name. They chose the name Evil Eye Fleagle, after a character their friend portrayed in a school play. This name seemed too long, however, and was later shortened to just Fleagle. Fleagle has played a handful of shows and have accumulated a group of regular fans. They range from young teens to adults, who come to hear their favorite Fleagle originals. These Christian-influenced songs discuss everyday problems, and are usually written in a very tongue-in-cheek sort of way. But, listeners had better hope that they like what they hear-because these catchy lyrics and tunes are sure to be stuck in their heads for a while.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live or dead...and love it.
