First October
First October is a local cover and original band from the Miami / Ft Lauderdale area. This four piece band covers some classic but mostly current rock and alternative favorites. Fronted by Tammy B., this band covers some unlikely selections for a female voice. Bass player Tom Braga also shares with the lead vocals on any given night. This band will take you on a journey through the 70's, 80's 90's and land you with some brilliantly executed current songs. This band boasts a setlist that is diverse and unique for a cover band. First October plays some current and classic standards, but also draws you in with renditions of songs that you have never heard covered by most "bar bands". This band plays each cover as if were their own, while brilliantly maintaining the intergrity of the song. Tammy B. has a full, sultry voice and is solidly backed by the other members of the band, which includes the blistering guitar work of Francis Cast who will flows through both cover and original music, and Jay Cummings who has to be the most solid, yet hardest hitting, upbeat sounding backbeat of all time, both true Rockers First October is fortunate to have!.
